Eighth Lapita Conference - Accommodation

Sadly, the "Vila Rose Private Resort", where the pre-conference early arrivals party will be hosted by Resort owner Rosemary Leona and her husband, will not be operational by the time of the conference, construction progress having been slowed by Cyclone Pam. Those who put their name down to stay there should re-book to another hotel. The management express their deep regrets at this unavoidable circumstance.

The following hotels have offered special discounts for Conference Delegates. Please click on the links below to see their details and offers:

  1. Fatumaru Lodge
  2. The Moorings Hotel
  3. Benjor Beach Club
  4. The Melanesian Hotel
  5. Tradewinds Resort
  6. The Sportsmens Hotel
  7. Coconut Palms Resort
  8. Kaiviti Motel
  9. The Traveller's Motel
  10. The Trinity Orchid Lodge & Apartments

These are the hotels that have offered special discounts to participants attending the Conference. There are several other hotels in town that a web search would find. They may well be suitable but have not offered any special discount to the Conference.

All bookings are entirely the responsibility of the person doing the booking. The conference organisers are not responsible for anything to do with your booking except listing the following recommendations of hotels that have offered a special discount for Conference participants. Any claims made by the hotel are entirely their responsibility. We would advise very strongly that you determine the exact location of your hotel in relation to the conference location and the location of city facilities such as restaurants and banks. You may also care to ask them whether they have their own transport service into and back from town. Out of town hotels may well necessitate hiring a car for easy, safe and timely access to the conference location.
